Initial tryouts take place Friday October 24th at the Charles River School in Dover.

Why Play for Wolves Futsal?
Benefits of Futsal
Futsal is a fast paced, tightly spaced version of soccer that gives players more touches per minute of play than any other variation of the beautiful game. It requires precision, speed, and creativity to excel. These skills will transfer into your players spring seasons.
Manageable Commitment
Our entire program is run out of the Charles River School in Dover MA, and our teams play in the MA Youth Futsal League which has all of its match locations in the MW region. The program runs from Jan to Feb with an optional Dec pre-season, so this won’t conflict with anyone’s fall or spring commitments. We also only ask for a minimum of an 80% commitment to team events understanding players and families have other things going on.
Educational Focus
We are an Academy because our priority is educating rather than competition. Our coaches will focus on providing nuanced individual feedback, challenging sessions, and teaching players new ideas and concepts. Our culture is about cultivating creativity, confidence, and helping each payer push themselves both physically and intellectually.
Integrity and Connection
We will only create and run teams IF we have enough players and coaches. We will not be double rostering or overextending just to get our numbers up. As a small program every player will be known by name, and you will get to know our coaching staff. No one will be just another name on a list.
Program Structure and Available Teams
The Wolf Pack! - 2nd and 3rd grade boys and girls
Weekday evening, 75-minute session, day of week tbd.
Once a week from first week of Jan to last week of Feb, 8 total sessions. 450$ for the program. (35$ initial fee upon signup, 415$ for program reg) This includes a jersey and all 8 training sessions.
This is an introductory, club level soccer clinic for 2nd and 3rd graders. Players will work to understand and improve the foundations of technical skill and teamplay.
“Club Level” means that only young players who are self-motivated and interested in playing soccer should sign up. The sessions are going to be intellectually and physically challenging and focused, therefore a minimum level of effort is going to be expected for the full 75 minutes of training.
During registration select the appropriate birth year and then select “Wolf Pack” under the team selection section. There will be NO TRYOUTS for the wolf pack, it is just easiest to have everyone registered through the same portal.

Logistics FAQ’s for the Program
Practice Logistics? The Charles River School in Dover is where all practices and other events will be held. Practices will be 90 minutes in the evenings, with most of our teams practicing Friday evenings, however exact dates and times are still TBD.
Match Logistics? Matches are Saturdays for youngers, and Sundays for olders. Matches take place throughout Boston Metro West with most of them happening at the Park School in Brookline, Fessenden in Newton, and the Forekicks facilities.
What do I need as far as equipment? The club will have futsal balls at practices and will also be ordering/paying for each player’s uniform (primary, alternate, and practice). You will need a pair of “flats” or indoor soccer shoes and shin guards.
How much does it cost to play? The cost per player is 800$ for the season. This includes all practices, matches, optional team tournaments, and uniforms. See further down this page for a full breakdown of the cost, where the money goes, and why. **If you are unsure of your ability to afford the program but would still like to participate, please reach out to Tristan directly.
How do I see my player’s schedule and RSVP for events? The Metro West Wolves are proud to be partnering with Ollie Sports as our team management solution. We believe their app will provide parents/guardians and coaches with the best scheduling and messaging experience. You will need to download their app to view your team’s schedules, RSVP for events, and message the team/coach.
Team Placement FAQ’s
I am in 8th grade, but I am a 2011 birth year and have friends in 9th grade, can I try out for the High School team? YES! Absolutely. We will recommend and offer you a spot on the team we deem most appropriate for you but you can sign up to try out for an older team if desired.
What skill and experience level should I have to try out? We encourage all players regardless of skill and experience level to come to tryouts, you never know what will happen! We cannot guarantee a spot on any team, but we will do our best to create teams and environments suited to as many players as possible based on our player population.
How many players are needed to form a team? We will be looking for a minimum of 8 dedicated players to form a team and a maximum of 12. Some flexibility will be offered depending on the group, but we will not force teams to happen without enough plays or overload a team. Total registration is NOT our primary goal, player experience IS. This means that an age group that only has 15 players registered for tryouts will likely have 2 or 3 cuts, as an example.
What if I am not available every weekend due to other commitments or traveling? We will have two options for you. Depending on how unavailable you are, you can still join the team. The futsal season has many games and if there are 1 to 3 players on an otherwise fully rostered team that can only commit to minimum half the games, that is fine with us. We will also offer a PRACTICE PLAYER spot. These will be offered after tryouts when we know what teams will look like. Practice players get the training experience without the weekend responsibility however will only be offered for age groups that have room so as to not overcrowd practices.
What about double rostering? Can I play with friends? You will be placed on the team that fits your level of play and age best. Hopefully that means you get to play with friends and if there are 2 teams for a given age group, those two teams will always practice together. Unfortunately we cannot make exceptions or double roster players on a case-by-case basis.
